Topic 1. Introduction to File Types & HTML

Students investigate differnt file types and summarise their understanding and knowledge by publishing their notes using HTML in a web site. Students use Grok Learning to learn a wide range of HTML tags and techniques.

Topic 2. Programming concepts – programming in Python & application in microbits

​

Students continue to use the Grok Learning environment to learn how to program using Python code. The implement their programming onto micro:bit devices to create a virtual pet.

 

Topic 3. Digital Images; Raster VS Vector

​

Students investigate digital images and use the Adobe products, Illustrator to create and edit vector images and Photoshop to create and edit raster images.

Topic 4. Excel Spreadsheets & Infographics​​​​​​​

​

Students use Spreadsheets to manipulate data taken from online data sets. Using their data sets they will create an infographic to report on their findings.
