Topic Four: Programming & Design Task

This final topic allows students to demonstrate what they have learned in Digital Technology. First students will learn about writing instructions to draw sahpes using the GROK LEARNING turtle program. Here estudents will learn some basic principles in programming in Python code.

​

IYou need to complete the first three modules - learn how to control the turtle and use a loop. For advanced students - go o to module 4 and learn how to control colour.

The Design Task

​

Students in the course will not have an exam, so you will be given a task to demonstrate skill sand understanding in four areas:

1. Word Processing

2. Networking Hardware

3. Web Development

4. Programming

Students will create a single WORD document that will include:

  • a network diagram

  • a web page design and html code that will make it

  • a turtle progam that creates a logo 

​

The document below is the assessment task due at the end of the term.

Here is an example of an EXCELLENT Turtle Programming Logo.

 

Multiple colours, use of pen up and pen down, loops to create curves and varied use of line weight.
